"I can't believe your Ma Chi is bring your crazy big brother home!" Gam (Louis Yuen) exclaims.
"Uncle, we told you many times that he's not crazy! He just temporarily lost his memories!" Ah Yuet (Michael Tse) corrects.
"And I've told you many times as well that there's no difference between insanity and amnesia!"
"God, you people have the same fights over and over again," Ah Hong (Johnny Tang) sighs.
"You guys behave! We don't want to scare big brother," Ah Yat (Joyce Chen) scolds.
"Right, right. Now that big brother is back, you'll forget all about me, huh?" Ah Yuet pouts.
"You have second sister-in-law to flourish you with attention, you don't need me!"
"Quiet!" Sa Sa (Kingdom Yuen) urges.
"A family that doesn't fight is not a family," Ah Lo (Bondy Chiu) comments.
"Right, your parents are always bickering over petty things every two days! You need to tell them to stop bringing their troubles to us!"
"Honey, calm down, anger is not good for our twins!"
"Speaking of twins, I'm going to go check on Foon Foon and Hei Hei. It's the first time they're meeting their uncle!"
"I'm so anxious!" Ying Gei (Yvonne Lam) paces back and forth.
"Why? It's only Ah Nin."
"I met the sane Ah Nin... I've never met a crazy man before!"
"Uncle, your influence on sister OK is endless!"
"Of course," Gam says as he grins widely forming a peace sign with his fingers.
"I wonder how Ah Nin will act..."
"I heard from Ah Sing that his fiancé is hot."
"Is she?"
"As pretty as a Miss Hong Kong!"
"Miss Hong Kong? Isn't she from Shanghai?"
"Oh, I guess as pretty as a Miss Shanghai then."
"Ma Chi says she is a sweet girl."
"But she's not coming to Hong Kong until a few days later."
"What about Joey?" Ah Hong asks.
"Joey? Isn't her relationship with Ah Nin over already?"
Ah Hong frowns, "Who knows." "I don't get it," he thinks to himself, "Chris told me that he would never be with anyone besides Joey. What happened?" Years ago, Ah Hong was the first person to become aware of Ah Nin's (Frankie Lam) love for Joey. In fact, he was the one that Ah Nin confided in about his problems with her. Ah Hong laughs remembering how Joey had mistaken Ah Nin and him for being lovers and had wished them happiness. How embarrassing that moment was!
"An expert told me that," Gam begins, "people who have amnesia are in fact possessed by a ghost!"
"A ghost, uncle?" Ah Yuet is skeptical.
"Uh huh! How else do you suppose all of the memories of the person are suppressed? It's a spirit controlling the person!"
"You don't suppose Ah Nin is being controlled by a ghost?" Ying Gei shakes.
"Perhaps."
"Gam Gam! I'm scared... hold me!"
"Uncle, that's ridiculous!"
"Oh yeah? Well, I'll prove it to you people that my expert is correct!"
[Taxi]
"Ah Nin, does Hong Kong seem familiar to you at all?" Ah Sing (Hawick Lau) inquires.
Ah Nin (Frankie Lam) shakes his head.
"Stop rushing him!" Nim Chi (Nancy Sit) scolds, "these things take time."
"Ma Chi, I bet you would be happy even if Ah Nin doesn't remember anyone else in the future but you!"
"Ah Nin, let me refresh your mind," she shows him Kam family's portrait, "this is your auntie, Sa Sa. She loves wearing yellow because it's her lucky color. When you were younger, she took intricate care of you, so you must love her a lot! This is your uncle Gam, we reunited with him a few years ago. He has a bad mouth and is quite dirty and childish, but he was always there for you. Your younger brother Ah Yuet and his wife, Ah Lo. Ah Yat is your youngest sister. And here are your nephews, Ah Lo and Ah Yuet's first set of twins, Foon Foon and Hei Hei."
"We sure have a big family."
"Wait until you see the picture of the extended family."
"Oh! Thanks for reminding me, Ah Sing!"
"Great, thanks a lot big brother."
Ah Sing smiles sheepishly.
[Kam Family Apartment]
"I hear footsteps! It's them! Get ready," Ah Yuet instructs.
At the opening of the door, everyone throws confetti and shout welcomes.
"What the hell is this?" Fa Kei Sam (Mannor Chan) shouts.
"It's not Ah Nin!"
"I come here to welcome back Ah Nin to Hong Kong and you people throw cheap paper at me? God, it's all in my new expensive shirt! You people will have to pay me compensations for ruining my shirt!"
"Mother-in-law, it's called 'confetti.'"
Ying Gei whispers to Ah Yuet, "Actually, Gam Gam cut them up from old calendars!"
"But I gave him money to buy it!"
"Welcome back big brother? More like coming here to leech off of our food again," Ah Yat says in a low breath.
Kei Sam hears this smart comment from Ah Yat and angrily says, "You people are holding a party and invited me. Of course I'm going to come! Why else would you have a party, which includes food, and not want people to eat them after you invited them? I'm only doing you guys a favor!"
"What's all the commotion?" Nim Chi demands as she, Ah Nin, Fiona (Sherming Yiu), and Ah Sing arrive at the door.
"Ah Nin, welcome back home!" everyone says in unison.
Ah Nin's head spins at the big crowd of people. "Everyone here is my family?" He stumbles and falls.
