Just like Wong Sheung (Lau Dan) had predicted, Joey (Bernice Liu) was silent ever since she returned from Shanghai. Although she would try to pretend to be cheery and happy, Wong Sheung knew that his daughter was only pretending to be happy. "Joey," he knocks on her bedroom door.
"Yes, daddy?"
"Are you feeling okay?"
Joey beams, "Of course!"
"No you're not," Wong Sheung sits down on her bed, "I know what happened in Shanghai."
"What are you talking about?"
"About Chris and why you went there in the first place."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Don't lie to me. Even before you stepped foot in Shanghai, I knew what was going to happen. When I called the boss of Chris's company that day, he told me that he was out with his daughter. It was then that I realized that Chris changed his mind about you. Men are like that, Joey. If you tease them too much and make them wait too long, they'll move on to someone else. If you need to cry, you will always have daddy's shoulder."
"It's not that simple, daddy."
"What do you mean?"
"Chris didn't change his mind."
"Then why isn't he here with you?"
"Because he doesn't remember me!"
"What?"
"While he was in Shanghai, he lost his memories and doesn't remember anyone, including me. That was why he is engaged to another woman. He doesn't know about me and that we had a relationship in the past. And daddy... his fiancé is so nice, I don't want to break them apart. But I can't move on and forget about him..."
"Oh, Joey..."

"Lady Man, His Majesty requests to see you," a eunuch informs Man Gwai Fei (Stephanie Che).
"Does he?" she beams. "Maybe it's about my promotion from a royal concubine to the empress!" she thinks to herself. She walks gracefully to the emperor's chamber. "May Your Majesty have longevity," she bows.
"At ease."
"Thank you." Gwai Fei looks around and sees a stern look on the emperor's (Lau Dan) face. She notices a peasant on her knees with her head bowed down.
"Man Gwai Fei, how dare you deceive me?"
"Your Majesty, I've been framed! It was Lady Chan who poisoned Lady Tang's baby!"
"What?"
The spark of interest in the emperor's eyes made Gwai Fei realize that she had said too much of the wrong thing. "I apologize, it's because I'm too worried that someone wants to kill our royal prince in my tummy that I'm paranoid and said the wrong thing. Please forgive me."
"Look at the person next to you," he orders.
"What about her?"
"How dare you lie and say that you're from a rich and classy family? You have such a despicable and lowly relative! Guards, take her to the dungeon! I won't have you staining the royal blood!"
"Your Majesty! I've been framed! This is unjust! Please, I don't know who this person is!"
The peasant (Celine Ma) looks up and runs after Gwai Fei. "Cousin! Now you can join me in the dungeon!"
"Your Majesty!" Gwai Fei cries as she's dragged away.
[End of Dream]
"Your Majesty!" Gwai Fei calls in her sleep. She wakes up and screams when she sees Gwai Yan (Celine Ma) staring at her. "Oh my god, what are you doing in my room? Get out!"
"Fei Fei, so it is you!"
"Huh?"
"Do you remember? When your family was still living in the mainland, we were best friends. When you were little, you were plump and short. So we stuck together. People teased you for being fat and they teased me for being ugly. We supported each other through those tough times. Do you remember? In fact, we were born around the same time so that's why I'm Gwai Yan and you're Gwai Fei. Do you remember, Fei Fei?"
Gwai Fei reflects on her past for a few seconds. "Oh, Yan Yan!" she blurts out.
"Fei Fei!"
"Yan Yan!"
"That's why I couldn't recognize you," Gwai Yan explains, "when I first saw you. You've grown so much and became so skinny since childhood!"
Gwai Fei smiles, "And you're still as... lovely." She wanted to say that Gwai Yan was still as ugly as in the past, but she refrained herself.
"You're still so sweet, Fei Fei!" Gwai Yan playfully punches her.
"Ouch!"
"I've prepared breakfast for you. I don't want to sit around your house like a lazy bum so I've decided to cook and clean for you. Is that okay, Fei Fei?"
"Why, of course it is."
"Good, hurry out for breakfast."
Gwai Fei smiles, "Perhaps having Yan Yan around will not be so bad."
