Ah Lo (Bondy Chiu) raises her eyebrow and asks sternly, "Where were you all?"
"We wanted to give you some peace so you could enjoy 'Gai Dai Foon Siu!'" Ah Yuet (Michael Tse) answers.
"Really? What if something happened to me? Who would help? Who would I call? Foon Foon and Hei Hei? It's dangerous to leave a pregnant woman alone, especially in her final month! You all are so thoughtless and cruel to me! Besides, everyone knows 'Gai Dai Foon Siu' must be enjoyed by the whole family!" Ah Lo yells.
"You really are something," Ah Yat (Joyce Chen) begins to say until Nim Chi (Nancy Sit) hushes her. Ah Yat changes her tone and says softly and sweetly, "I mean, we're sorry second sister-in-law. We promise to remain by your side until you give birth safe and sound."
"Does that mean you'll stop paying attention to me after I give birth?" Ah Lo asks.
Gam (Louis Yuen) answers, "Didn't you always say a modern woman should be independent? Why are you depending on us?"
"I see! So I'm a burden!" Ah Lo says.
Nim Chi gives Gam a disapproving look. He replies, "Of course not! It's our pleasure to serve you."
Nim Chi chuckles, "That's right, Ah Lo, tell us if you need anything!"
"So," says Ah Lo, "Does this mean from now on I'm the biggest person here?"
Ah Yat shakes her head critically, "What about Ma Chi?"
Nim Chi hushes Ah Yat and smiles at Ah Lo, "That's right, Ah Lo."
"Good. From now on, no one can do anything that I can't do and no one can eat anything that I can't eat!" Ah Lo orders.
Everyone wants to protests, but reluctantly consent with Ah Lo's command.
Abruptly, Sa Sa (Kingdom Yuen) barges in and cheerfully announces, "I have fresh, sweet watermelons!"
Everyone turns around and gives Sa Sa a pissed look. "What?" she asks. "It's good watermelon!"
"Auntie, is it really?" Ah Lo smiles.
"It is! You all must try it."
"Too bad no one here can eat it!" Ah Lo says.
"Why not?" Sa Sa is confused, "I just bought it!"
"Everyone has said they will not eat anything that I can't eat. Watermelon is bad for pregnant women, isn't that right?" Ah Lo asks.
Everyone nods his or her head.
"So," Ah Lo concludes, "We cannot eat watermelon."
"What kind of rule is that? Sister-in-law?" Sa Sa asks.
Nim Chi quickly says, "Sa Sa, don't ask! Just follow." She pulls Sa Sa to the side and whispers, "We have to treat Ah Lo well otherwise she will end up with depression and won't give birth to healthy babies!"
Sa Sa raises her eyebrows, "Well, clearly this place doesn't suit me! I'll return home now!"
Everyone sighs seeing Sa Sa carry the two big, juicy watermelon home.
"Are you all so disappointed? Think about me, who has been denied of my favorite foods for months! You all have only been denied once and are all so down. Maybe I should stop carrying this set of twins!" Ah Lo threatens.
Nim Chi rushes to Ah Lo, "No, no! We all understand how difficult it is for you to carry babies."
"Is that so? Action speaks louder than words," Ah Lo says.
Nim Chi gathers everyone around and whispers, "We need to make Ah Lo feel comfortable!"
Rose (Kenix Kwok) speaks up, "Well, it won't work if we don't know what she wants." She directs a question at Ah Lo, "Ah Lo, where are you feeling uncomfortable? What can we do to make you feel more relaxed?"
Ah Lo replies, "My shoulders are stiff, my back hurts, my feet are cramped, I'm carving for some food, and I want something good to watch!"
Ah Yuet rushes to fetch Ah Lo a pillow, "Honey, this will make your back feel better. Ah Yat, massage her shoulders!"
Ah Yat is shocked, "Me? What about you? You're her husband!"
Ah Lo bitterly says, "Ah Yat, is it so hard for you to massage my aching shoulders? If so, then don't!"
Nim Chi nudges Ah Yat, who has her arms crossed. Ah Yat walks over to Ah Lo and starts massaging her shoulders.
Ah Lo yells, "Have you not eaten dinner yet? Why so weak? I feel nothing!"
Ah Yat gives the massage more force.
Ah Lo screams, "Ouch! Are you trying to kill me?"
Nim Chi shakes her head, "Ah Yat! Do it more seriously!"
Ah Yat sighs.
"Uncle!" Ah Lo calls, "Where do you think you're going?"
"I need to expel poison!" Gam says.
"My feet are cramped! You need to massage them!" Ah Lo takes off her socks and puts her feet on the coffee table.
"Ah Lo, I'll do it for you," Ying Gei (Yvonne Lam) offers.
Ah Lo moves her index finger back and forth, "No, sister OK! H5N1 has to do it."
Gam mumbles curse words under his breath as he rubs Ah Lo's feet.
"That's better," Ah Lo smiles. She rubs her stomach, "I'm hungry!"
Nim Chi says, "What would you like me to cook for you?"
Ah Lo shakes her head, "Mother-in-law, you've worked too hard already! How can I ask you to serve me? You come and sit down on the couch with me. Rose, go into the kitchen and cook me something!"
Rose's eyes bulge and blood rushes to her face, "Me?"
Ah Lo nods, "Is there any other 'Rose' here?"
Ah Nin (Frankie Lam) protests, "You know Rose doesn't know how to cook!"
"So? This will give her practice! Just because she's the 'siu jeh' (miss) of the Suens in Shanghai doesn't mean she shouldn't know how to cook! Who knows? Maybe she'll lose her fortune! Then what will you do big brother?" Ah Lo asks.
Ah Nin loops his arm into Rose's and moves her into the kitchen.
"It better be good!" Ah Lo shouts. She yawns, "What kind of crap show is this? Change the channel!"
"The remote is in front of your eyes! Turn it yourself!" Ah Yat rolls her eyes.
"Speaking of terrible shows, it's all your fault for producing bad series!"
"Me? I only direct! I'm not a producer," Ah Yat answers.
"Well, you should tell those producers to make better series!"
Gam says, "We're watching TVB already. What other station do you want to watch?"
"TVB Pearl! I want my babies to know English!" Ah Lo grins.
Ah Hong (Johnny Tang) takes the remote and changes the channel, "There you go."
"As if you understand it," Ah Yat mumbles under her breath.
Rose and Ah Nin bring out a bowl of noodles, "Enjoy."
"God!" Ah Lo says, "Instant noodles? This is not a cooked meal! Do you all know how bad instant noodles are to the health of people, pregnant women specifically? Do you want to poison me and my babies by giving me such preserved and nutrition-less food?"
Ah Nin answers, "We made this on the stove! So, it is still a form of cooking. Plus, we added an egg!"
Ah Lo pushes the bowl away, "Take it away and cook me something good!"
Seeing the situation, Nim Chi gets up and runs to kitchen to help.
[Kitchen]
"She is too much!" Rose says in a low voice.
Nim Chi answers, "I know, but what can we do? We want her and her babies to be happy and healthy."
"Ma Chi, she's treating us no better than dogs!" Ah Nin protests.
"It's only a few more weeks before she gives birth. Please try to bear it!" Nim Chi urges.
Rose is furious and thinks to herself, "That damn bitch! I'll get her someday."
[Living Room]
Nim Chi, Rose, and Ah Nin bring out a plate of beef stir-fried with greens. Rose says, "This dish is good for pregnant women to eat."
Ah Lo beams, "Much better."
For the rest of the evening, Ah Lo enjoyed everyone's services. No one dared to argue with her. They all treated her like an empress.
[Ah Yuet & Ah Lo's Bedroom]
Ah Yuet felt uneasy as he lay in bed with Ah Lo. He speaks up, "Honey, don't you think you took it too far?"
"What do you mean?" Ah Lo demands.
"You treated everyone like animals, worse than slaves!"
"Is it so difficult to make me feel a little more comfortable? It's very difficult for me to be pregnant!"
"I think you were too rude and disrespectful to everyone."
"So? Your Ma Chi told everyone to heed me!"
Ah Yuet is suspicious, "What did you just say?"
"I'm only going along with what mother-in-law wants for me!" Ah Lo argues.
"You knew?" Ah Yuet asks.
"I happened to notice you guys were missing and followed everyone up to the rooftop and overheard everything," Ah Lo confesses.
"So you were taking advantage of Ma Chi's kindness! She was worried about you!" Ah Yuet says.
"I know."
"Does this mean you were faking when you cried while hugging Foon Foon and Hei Hei? Is it true that you have no problem and just want to cause trouble with everyone? How could you do this Ah Lo?" Ah Yuet is angry.
"Kam Yuet! How can you doubt your wife?" Ah Lo asks.
"How can you be so cruel? We all want the best for you and you use us?" To Ah Yuet's surprise, Ah Lo hugs him tightly and he feels tears dropping onto his shirt. "Honey?" Ah Yuet says in a concerned tone.
"Ah Yuet..." Ah Lo sobs.
