Nim Chi (Nancy Sit) clasps her hands together and cheerfully announces in front of the shrine, "Brother Wah, Sister Bing, Ah Lo has given birth to her second set of twins! The mother and children are both safe and sound. They're coming home today!"
"Ma Chi, don't be so excited!" Ah Nin (Frankie Lam) says.
"My grandchildren are coming home! How can I not feel excited?"
"What about Foon Foon and Hei Hei?" Rose (Kenix Kwok) asks.
"A new bathroom is only fresh for a few days. Let's not even talk about kids! Auntie Chi likes new things," Gam (Louis Yuen) laughs.
"I didn't have enough time with Fu jai and Gwai mui the past couple of days! Now that they're coming home, I can have them all to myself!"
"Ma Chi! We're home," Ah Yuet (Michael Tse) and Ah Lo (Bondy Chiu) call as they walk through the door pushing a baby stroller.
"Fu jai and Gwai mui are so adorable!" Ying Gei (Yvonne Lam) sighs.
Foon Foon and Hei Hei put down their toys and run over to meet their parents.
Ah Yat enters the living room and says, "Second brother, Ah Hong and I have set up and placed Foon Foon and Hei Hei's crib in your bedroom."
Ah Lo is shocked, "What?"
"You two are their parents, of course they're suppose to sleep with you!" Ah Yat replies.
"If they sleep with us, how are we supposed to have a good night's rest?" Ah Lo demands.
Ah Yat chuckles, "You should have thought about that before you got pregnant the second time!"
Ah Lo whines and begs Nim Chi sweetly, "Mother-in-law! Since you love kids so much, why don't you let Fu jai and Gwai mui sleep with you too?"
Nim Chi gasps, "Huh?"
Rose shakes her head, "Auntie Chi already shares her room with Foon Foon and Hei Hei. Now you expect her to live with Fu jai and Gwai mui and take care of them too? She's old and frail! Plus, she has to take care of 'Tung Mat Yuen' and look after our family. How can you be so cruel and thoughtless?"
Nim Chi blushes, "I'm sorry, Ah Lo. Foon Foon and Hei Hei are more than enough for me!"
"Sister OK! I hear that spending a lot of time with babies and children will nurture you and make you more fertile! If my babies sleep in your room, then you will get pregnant in no time! It's a win-win situation!" Ah Lo urges as she nudges Ying Gei.
Rose sighs, "There's no scientific proof for that! What kind of idiot are you? I read in a magazine that women who give birth become smarter. Ah Lo, you've given birth two times, well four if you consider how many kids have been born. Why are you still so foolish?"
Ying Gei declines Ah Lo, "Fu jai and Gwai mui are cute... but if they stay in our room, how can Gam Gam and I 'make people?'"
Ah Lo looks around with pleading eyes. "Ah Yat!" she calls.
Ah Yat places out her right hand, "Don't even bother to ask me!"
"Our babies are named 'wealth!' They'll bring you luck and fortune!" Ah Lo insists.
"You can keep the wealth to yourself!" Ah Yat dismisses the offer.
"Rose? Ah Nin?" Ah Lo begs.
Ah Nin answers, "Our room is too crowded with business documents and papers! It's not suitable for babies."
Ah Lo whines, "No one is going to help me!"
Nim Chi speaks up, "Second daughter-in-law, you are their mother. How can you throw your responsibility to others?"
"You guys helped take care of Foon Foon and Hei Hei!"
Nim Chi is flustered, "That's because there was a vacant room in the house! Now our house is crowded. There's no choice but to let Fu jai and Gwai mui sleep in your room. We'll help you look after and take care of them, but they'll have to stay with you."
Ah Yuet supports Nim Chi, "We didn't take care of Foon Foon and Hei Hei that much when they were babies. I guess this time we'll have to take care of Fu jai and Gwai mui. It won't be that bad! After all, this is our second set. We'll have experience from the first time."
Ah Lo refutes, "You were the one who threw Foon Foon and Hei Hei to them as well so you could sleep and work the next day!"
"Yes, well, we were young then!" Ah Yuet tries to explain.
"Oh yeah? Well, you can get up when they cry in the night! I'm not doing it!" Ah Lo storms into her bedroom and slams the door shut.
Ah Yat rolls her eyes, "She is really something."
[Rooftop]
Ah Nin and Rose sat together drinking hot tea and observing the stars on the apartment rooftop.
"Finally, we have a moment of peace," Rose smiles.
"Living in this house, there will never be a dull moment," Ah Nin observes.
"Chris, why don't we return to Shanghai?"
"Shanghai? Why? We're doing good here."
"I thought you liked tranquility."
"I do, but living here, again, for the past few months have made me immune to the ruckus. Now I find it odd to have silence."
Rose is stunned, "Oh..."
Ah Nin turns towards Rose and comments, "I'm reunited with my family here, but you're separated from your father. You miss him, don't you?"
"The wife has to follow her husband." Abruptly, Rose's cell phone rings.
"Hello?"
"Rose, are you free? I have something to tell you," Michael (Kevin Cheng) says from the other line.
Rose glances quickly at Ah Nin, "What is it? It's late." She clears her throat and walks away from Ah Nin.
"You're not alone now, are you?"
"No."
"Well, I just wanted to let you know that I've received word on that bastard's capture."
"Shanghai?" Rose hopes that Michael would understand she was asking him if he was talking about Ah Hoi.
"Seung hoi (Shanghai)? Oh! Yes, that bastard Ah Hoi."
"Really?" A smile forms on Rose's face.
"Yes. According to the report, he tried to cash the check that you wrote him and was captured. He's in jail now."
"Great. Thank you." Rose closes her phone.
"Who was that?" Ah Nin questions.
"It was a friend of mine from Shanghai," Rose lies.
"Oh, what did he or she say?"
"Nothing important," Rose flashes a grin.
