Fiona (Sherming Yiu) sat down by the rocks on the side of the pond gazing at the swimming fishes.
"Upset again?" Suet Ching (Rebecca Chan) appears behind Fiona.
Surprised, Fiona gets up and greets her aunt with a smile, "Auntie, good morning."
"Dear niece, what bothers you now?"
"Nothing. I was just sitting here to relax."
"Oh."
"And you?"
"I was worried about my niece."
Fiona points to her toothed-grin, "I'm great!"
"Are you still upset that they won't let you take His Majesty overseas for treatment?"
"No."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"That's surprising. Who changed my niece's mind?"
"Doctor Tsui."
"The head Imperial Doctor?"
Fiona nods, "Yes."
"How did he do it?"
"He convinced me that I was wrong. I'm also confident that he will treat my father to the best of his abilities."
"Surprising."
"I may be stubborn but I'm not blind," Fiona laughs.
"Well, it's nice to see you in a good mood again."
Fiona sighs, "I really don't want to take over the throne and become the next Island Chief. But Doctor Tsui..."
"What did Doctor Tsui say?"
"He told me that I should just accept it because he knows I would do a good job and there are people to help me."
"It seems like you admire Doctor Tsui very much."
Fiona nods, "I feel a strong connection to him. I've met him since I was younger."
"Did you?"
"Yes. My mother was weak in health, so I saw him around a lot when I was younger... treating my mother's illness."
"Was he friendly with your mother?"
"Yes. They were in pleasant conversation always."
"So he had a good relationship with you and your mother for awhile then?"
"Yes... almost like another parental figure.... maybe like an uncle."
"Wow, he is lucky to have the princess give him such praises."
"Well, he's there when I need him. I guess it's because he pitied me after my mother died..."
"I'm glad you have someone so useful to you like that," Suet Ching smiles. A voice recorder was up her sleeve.
[Imperial Clinic]
On Gong Gong (Bowie Lam) announces Suet Ching's arrival at the Imperial Clinic. The Imperial Doctors and their subordinates panic and fall for their knees to greet her. "May Your Highness have longevity."
"At ease. Where is Doctor Tsui?" Suet Ching asks.
Doctor Tsui (Gallen Lo) walks into the clinic and is surprised to see Suet Ching. "Gwun Ju (Emperor's sister)," he bows.
"At ease. Doctor Tsui, I came to see you."
"Why did Your Highness travel so far to see me? You could have sent a servant to tell me to come to your palace."
"Then you would think I wasn't sincere and not see me."
"I wouldn't dare to go against Your Highness's wishes."
"Let's talk in a quiet place."
Doctor Tsui leads Suet Ching to a private quarter. Suet Ching tells everyone to exit and sits herself down.
"Gwun Ju, what is the matter... that brings you here?"
Suet Ching sighs, "I'm not feeling well."
"Doctor Yeung didn't mention anything when he did a check-up for you earlier."
Pointing to her chest she says, "It feels so heavy. I can hardly breath. It troubles me..."
"I'll prescribe some medicine to lighten your chest."
"No, doctor," she points deeper inside, "it pains me."
"I'm sorry, but it's impossible for me to prescribe medicine for the soul."
"Oh, but I think you can."
Doctor Tsui's hand starts to tremble under his desk, "I don't know what Your Highness is hinting at."
Suet Ching sighs, "My chest feels heavy when something bothers me... especially when something hurts myself or a family member..."
"I don't understand."
"There are rumors that you and Lady Yin were..." she pauses, "friendly."
"Lady Yin has been dead for ten years. Let's not talk about her."
"Lady Yin concerns the root of the trouble that bother me."
"How?"
"These rumors will stain my brother's name. If my brother's name is stained, this hurts me and I am pained..."
"Your Highness, I really don't know what you're hinting at."
"Doctor Tsui, you entered the palace fifteen years ago. Your biggest patient was Lady Yin, my brother's prized concubine and Princess Fiona's mother. I have heard from my niece that you were often in Lady Yin's palace and you were also friendly with her and my niece. Is that true?"
"I'm a doctor. She was my patient, of course I have to be in her room to take care of her!"
"But did you have to be in there so often?"
"Your Highness, I did my duties as a doctor. If you have health problems, I will gladly assist you, but if you want to discuss nonsense with me, then I'm not interested. I have to go treat patients."
Suet Ching slaps Doctor Tsui, "What nerve you have to raise your voice and talk to me like that! I can say one word and your head will be off."
Doctor Tsui stood up bravely, "I have done no wrong. Even if I'm executed, I will still retain my honor and my death will not be shameful." He leaves the room. Suet Ching is enraged as she presses the "Stop" button on her voice recorder.
