Doctor Tsui (Gallen Lo) has no idea why he's being called so urgently and is concerned about the Island Chief's (Law Kong) condition. When he arrives with On Gong Gong (Bowie Lam), the Island Chief looks crossed.
"May Your Majesty have longevity," Doctor Tsui wishes.
"Longevity? Don't you dare mock me!"
"Your Majesty, I don't understand what you mean."
Island Chief throws a set of pictures down onto the floor. They land in front of Doctor Tsui's face, which was still leaned towards the floor. He is shocked to see pictures of himself hugging Fiona (Sherming Yiu) and visiting Lady Yin's (Gigi Lai) grave.
"How can I have longevity when you're trying to pull something over my eyes?" Island Chief demands.
"Your Majesty! I swear I'm innocent."
"Explain these pictures then!"
"I've been framed."
"Don't you dare tell me that these pictures, taken in broad daylight, are fake!"
Doctor Tsui decides to be truthful, "Yes, I did visit Lady Yin's grave..."
"Why?"
"I was out picking medicinal herbs and decided to pay respects to her."
"So it was a coincidence?"
"Yes, Your Majesty."
"What nerve! To lie to the face of the Son of Heaven! How could it be a mere coincidence when you offered her incense, fruits, and flowers? Did you just happen to bring those things along? Are they necessary for your medicinal herbal gathering? Or did you deliberately bring those things along to visit the grave of Lady Yin?"
"Y-y-your," Doctor Tsui tries to protest, but is interrupted.
Island Chief shouts, "Then you dare to hug the Princess like that!"
"Your Majesty, I did visit Lady Yin's grave, but I swear I didn't hug the Princess!"
"Then where do you suppose these pictures came from?"
"Your Majesty! I've been framed."
"These pictures clearly depict you and Fiona hugging in the Imperial Garden!"
"Your Majesty! These pictures are fake!"
Island Chief laughs mockingly, "Do you take me for a little kid?"
"Your Majesty, there is something known as 'manipulation' on Photoshop!"
"Nonsense!"
"It's true!"
"Explain your relationship with Lady Yin."
"I was her doctor and Her Highness was my patient, it's that simple."
"So simple?"
Doctor Tsui nods his head vigorously.
Island Chief scolds, "What a lie!"
"Your Majesty!" Doctor Tsui pleads.
Island Chief hands a CD to On Gong Gong. On Gong Gong quickly pops the CD into the CD player and turns the volume up. The recording, of the conversation between Fiona and Doctor Tsui, that Suet Ching (Rebecca Chan) had played earlier for the Island Chief, is heard again. Doctor Tsui cannot believe his ears. When the CD finishes playing, Island Chief demands, "Do you have anything left to say now?"
"Your Majesty! This recording is a fake! I never said those words."
"Rubbish! First you say that the pictures were manipulated and now you say this recording was forged!"
"I swear to God! I did not have an affair with Lady Yin and Princess Fiona is certainly not my daughter! When I entered the palace, Fiona was already ten years old! How can I be her father? Your Majesty, this is some cruel joke!"
"Joke? Are you saying that I'm being nonsensical now?"
"Your Majesty! I entered the palace a little over fifteen years ago. Princess Fiona is twenty-five years old! How can...?"
Suet Ching speaks up, "Fifteen years? Doctor Tsui, I am ashamed at how you can lie to His Majesty. Bring in Doctor Yeung!"
Doctor Yeung (John Chiang) is brought before the Island Chief. "At your service, Your Majesty."
"Doctor Yeung, as one of the oldest Imperial Doctors, you've been around for nearly forty years," Island Chief begins.
Doctor Yeung replies, "Yes."
"When did Doctor Tsui enter the palace?"
"Twenty-six years ago," Doctor Yeung flatly replies.
Doctor Tsui is exasperated, "Doctor Yeung! You know well and clear that I've only been around for fifteen years!"
"Your memory is accurate?" Island Chief asks.
"Yes. I may be aging, but my memory is still very sharp! Doctor Tsui entered the palace twenty-six years ago and his first patient was Lady Yin."
Island Chief looks at Doctor Tsui again, "Anything more to say?"
"Your Majesty! It's a conspiracy! Doctor Yeung is lying! You can ask any other Imperial Doctor! They will tell you."
"Fine!" Island Chief roars. Every member of the Imperial Clinic is brought before the Island Chief and Doctor Tsui. They all support Doctor Yeung and insist that Doctor Tsui has been around for twenty-six years and that it was a clear fact among the Imperial Doctors. Island Chief smiles, "Have anything left to say?"
"Your Majesty!" Doctor Tsui begs.
"On Gong Gong! Smack him until he confesses to the truth," Island Chief orders.
On Gong Gong starts slapping Doctor Tsui, who continues to beg the Island Chief to listen to him explain. The slaps were so loud that they were heard from outside of the palace, where Fiona, Ah Sing (Hawick Lau), and Mo Yung (Ha Yu) were approaching. Fiona senses that something is wrong and starts running. She is horrified at the sight of On Gong Gong slapping Doctor Tsui.
She stands in front of Doctor Tsui and yells, "Father! Stop!"
"Princess, move out of the way!" On Gong Gong shouts.
Fiona slaps On Gong Gong, "How dare you raise your voice at me... you dog!" She kneels besides Doctor Tsui and helps him rise. His cheeks were red and blood had started to drip from his mouth. "Father, what is going on?"
"What are you doing? Guards! Separate them!"
Within that second, Fiona and Doctor Tsui were apprehended by the guards and taken to opposite ends of the room.
Mo Yung enters the palace and joins his wife near where Island Chief was sitting. Ah Sing dashes to Fiona's side.
"Father!" Fiona calls, "What is going on?"
"You! What is your relationship with Doctor Tsui?" Island Chief ignores Fiona's question.
"Father, what do you mean?"
"Answer me!"
Fiona blinks, "What?"
"Guard! Slap her until she answers!"
The guard extends his right hand.
"Do you dare to hit me?" Fiona shouts.
The guard's hand lands hard on Fiona's face. Ah Sing is hurt at the sight, but he knows it's not his place to say or do anything.
"Father!" Fiona calls.
"Answer me! What is your relationship with this man?"
"He's Doctor Tsui, the head of the Imperial Doctors! He treats me when I'm sick!"
"Is it so simple?"
"Father, what more of an answer do you want?"
"Don't lie to me!"
"Father..."
"Answer me truthfully! What is the relationship between you and that man?" Island Chief points to Doctor Tsui.
"Father, I already answered you!"
"Dear niece," Suet Ching says, "You might as well be truthful. Your father knows the truth now."
"Auntie, what are you talking about?"
Mo Yung adds, "Do not try to act innocent. Your father may have a brain tumor, but his thoughts are still crisp and sharp!"
"Mo Yung, what did you say?" Island Chief looks at him.
"I overheard Fiona say that because you have a brain tumor, your memory and thoughts will be flawed and you will easily get things confused. She also said that you would easily be manipulated. And..."
"Go on!"
"She also said that because of this, she would get the crown in no time," Mo Yung finishes.
Fiona is horrified, "I never said such things! I have been nothing but grieve-stricken since!"
Ah Sing finally speaks up, "Your Majesty! Fiona is totally innocent. She is too pure to have such thoughts."
Island Chief closes his eyes and breathes loudly. "Fiona, Doctor Tsui is your father, isn't he? He and your mother had an affair, right?" He has On Gong Gong pick up the pictures off the floor and throws them into Fiona's face and he replays the CD.
"No!" Fiona screams, "That is not true!"
"Your Majesty!" Doctor Tsui pleads.
Suet Ching speaks up, "Brother, maybe we should give them a chance to explain."
"Sister, you are too benevolent. Doctor Tsui, speak!"
Seeing that this was his last chance, Doctor Tsui says, "Your Majesty, I don't know who is behind all of this and why they want to hurt me, but I swear to you that I have been nothing but loyal since I entered the palace. I took care of Lady Yin as a patient, just ask anyone! Our relationship was very pure and we did nothing of disrespect to you. Princess Fiona is certainly not my daughter. When I entered the palace, Fiona was already ten years old!"
"Fiona?"
"Father, I don't understand what's going on. I came here to check up on you because I missed this morning's appointment. When I entered your palace, you had your guards arrest me and then slap me? I have no clue what's the matter! Why do you insist that Doctor Tsui is my father? Whatever you heard, it's not true! I'm your daughter, Fiona."
"Brother-in-law, since these two are so stubborn to not admit the truth, let's throw more evidence into their faces," Mo Yung sneers.
"What do you have in mind?" Island Chief asks.
"We can test their blood. If their two droplet of blood mix, that means they're related and that they're father and daughter!"
Island Chief nods, "Okay. On Gong Gong! Prepare a pure bowl of water and two medical needles."
Fiona and Doctor Tsui are dragged to the center of the room, where the bowl of water is placed. On Gong Gong is in charge of taking their blood. He jabs the needle into Fiona and Doctor Tsui's finger tips without mercy and squeezes blood out, one by one. They scream in pain. Doctor Yeung is asked to observe the bowl. Within seconds of encounter, the blood from Fiona and Doctor Tsui begins to mix together. Doctor Yeung reports, "Your Majesty, the droplet of blood from the Princess and Doctor Tsui have mixed. This proves that..."
"Enough! Enough! How dare you two deceive me?" Island Chief is angry.
Ah Sing yells, "Your Majesty! This is not a way to determine parentage! This method is outdated and false! Why don't you give them a DNA test?"
Island Chief orders On Gong Gong to slap Ah Sing.
Fiona crawls over to Suet Ching, "Auntie! Say something! You know this isn't true!"
Suet Ching snubs Fiona and looks straight up at the ceiling.
"Uncle-in-law!" Fiona begs. He, too, ignores Fiona's calls. She runs up to the Island Chief and tears up, "Father!"
"Get away from me!" Island Chief slaps Fiona so hard that her crown falls from her head and shatters onto the floor. The once-beautiful crystal crown that had been worn on Fiona's head was now pieces of broken glass.
Fiona sobs, "Father!"
"Fiona!" Ah Sing hugs her in hopes of comforting her, but he knew that she was too devastated.
"Guards! Lock them all up in the Imperial Dungeon!"
Before Fiona, Ah Sing, and Doctor Tsui are pulled out of his sight, the Island Chief faints.
