Wong Sheung (Lau Dan) paces around his office. "Ah, what am I to do?" Suddenly, a bright idea comes into his head. "If Joey (Bernice Liu) is so insistent on going to find Chris (Frankie Lam), then there's nothing I can do to stop her. But, I can always bring him to her!" He snaps his fingers and decides to give Ah Nin (Frankie) a call. "That's strange... his number is disconnected? But that won't stop me! I can reach him through his office." He digs through his phone book and smiles when he finally finds the number. He quickly dials it.
"Hello, Peter? It's me, Roger. How are you doing? How's your business? Oh, it's doing very well? That's great! What? You have me to thank for it? It's all because I introduced Chris into your company? Haha. Yes, it's quite a loss for me. Speaking of Chris, is he around? He isn't? May I ask where he is? He's... what?!" Wong Sheung's heart fell to the floor at the revelation. "I must stop Joey from going to Shanghai!" he concludes in his head.
[Wong Family House]
"7th sister (Teresa Ha)!" Joey calls as she hugs her. Although 7th sister was her family's old maid, Joey loved her like a close relative. She took care of her since she was a baby. In fact, 7th sister also raised her father! "How are you? I've missed you so much!"
7th sister bitterly exclaims, "Miss me?! Then why didn't you come back sooner?"
"I have my studies to do and old people shouldn't travel too far! I worry about your health."
"Me, old? Ha! Are you kidding me? I'm very healthy and strong! In fact, I am in better shape than you guys! If it wasn't for me, do you think you and your father would be as plump as you guys are?"

"Shanghai? Why do you want to go there?"
"To find my boyfriend..."
"Wow, it seems my position in your heart has changed dramatically. You didn't even tell me you were dating!"
"Actually, you know him and I think I told you about him. He's Chris."
"Gam's (Louis Yuen) nephew, Kam Nin?"
"Yes, him."

"Do you want me to be charged for murder? If I put too much salt in the dinner and he stubbornly eats it all, do you know what could happen to me? Your father has changed. He no longer dates a bunch of young girls!"
"What! Are you serious? How can my father have changed so much since the last time I was home?"
7th sister shrugs. "In any case, your ideas are outdated. Maybe you should be home more often."
"I will if you help me go to Shanghai and find Chris. Then I promise to be home all the time!"
"Sure. Then you will be too busy spending time with your lover and forget all about me!"
"7th sister..." Joey is cut off by the calls of her father.
"Joey! I knew that you would be here." She turns her back to him and folds her arm. "Aiya, daughter, don't be like this! I just found news about Chris. You mustn't go to Shanghai! Chris no longer feels the same way about you."
"Don't lie to me, daddy!"
"It's true! Your heart will be broken if you see him again."
"The relationship between Chris and I is unbreakable."
"Daughter, I've talked to his boss, who is my friend. He told me that Chris..." Joey places her hands on her ears and starts singly loudly. Wong Sheung shakes his head. His daughter was always stubborn like this. She will not stop until she has her way. "Fine. I will allow you to go to Shanghai. But I will be joining you."
Joey winks her eyes and smiles. Like always, her father always gave in. She hops to Wong Sheung's side and gives him a sweet smile. "You're the best daddy in the world!"
"And already she has forgotten about me...!" 7th sister exclaims.
Joey laughs. "Let me help you prepare dinner."
Wong Sheung watches his bubbly daughter walk with 7th sister to the kitchen. He couldn't bear thinking about how hurt she would be once her feet step into Shanghai. Aware of the tragedy, but unable to stop it, he was powerless. His daughter was headstrong and she wouldn't accept anything until her own eyes saw it. He sits down on the couch and dreads the upcoming trip to Shanghai.
[Kam Family Apartment]
At dinner, Nim Chi (Nancy Sit) listens to the daily gossips of her children from their workday at "Ka Yan" company.
"Ma Chi, why aren't you eating?" Ah Yat (Joyce Chen) asks.
"There's something I have to tell you guys."
"What is it? You're getting re-married? You won the lottery? You've been diagnosed with cancer?"
"Ridiculous! You guys have been watching too many Korean dramas."
"Hey, it's all the rage now in Hong Kong."
Nim Chi continues, "I've bought plane tickets to Shanghai today. I'm going to visit Ah Nin."
"By yourself?"
"No. Ah Sing (Hawick Lau) and Fiona (Sherming Yiu) are accompanying me."
"Ma Chi, I'm sure it's nothing serious."
"I had a bad dream last night. Something is wrong. I'm sure of it."
