...Updates

December 24, 2006
Ack! It's been half-a-year since I've updated any of my sites. It's truly amazing how fast time flies. I'm sorry if anyone thought I "abandoned" this site or that I dropped off the face of the Earth. Haha. The truth is, I've been so tied up with TVB Musings that I haven't had time to focus on anything else. It's hard to launch a new site, so I invested all my time into the blog. However, it's going strong now so I can work on other things.

Today, I have a special treat for you guys. New, never-before-seen footage! Nope, sadly, it's not from a new series or continuation... For that, we'll have to keep waiting. What I do have are some clips of four deleted scenes from VOH II. I obtained a very rare alternative trailer that TVBI used to promote VOH II in the early days.

Joey is pissed off at Ah Nin, but she gives him a shock herself...

A client is seemingly making a pass at a very uncomfortable Joey. A drunk Ah Nin barges into the room possibly to save Joey?

This is the scene where Joey slaps Ah Nin for the first time. It was in the very first themevideo. I have a feeling that deleted scenes #1-3 all compose a storyline that was cut. I wonder why. It looks cute.

It appears that all of the "Ka Yan" beauties are out on one of their shopping sprees and run into a bit of trouble.

So now that you guys know what the 4 deleted scenes are, why don't you check out the video to see them? It's around 2 minutes in length.

It's upsetting that most of the deleted scenes are Chris/Joey ones. :\ As if their screentime isn't limited enough, yet they have all these deleted scenes? Argh. It's as if TVB has something against them.

Screenshots can be found here. I hope you guys enjoy this. :) It's nice to see these clips because it's "new" VOH, but it makes me kind of sad because we'll never get to see the scenes in entirety. *Sigh* If only TVB would release the entire VOH series on DVD with bonus footages like deleted scenes/storylines. Unfortunately, TVB isn't like American companies and I doubt they would invest so much money into VOH to release both series on DVD. It's a shame because VOH has done so much for TVB. Whatever.

Oh yeah, I meant to "update" this earlier... but I've uploaded Linda Chung's Swear MV and screenshots for awhile, but I never mentioned it as an update, so I'll do that today.

Bondy Chiu will be remembered as Ah Lo, the wife of Ah Yuet, but in fact, Bondy has paired with all of VOH's "big brothers" (Hawick Lau not included). Bondy was Frankie Lam's girlfriend in On The Track Or Off and she pursued Steven Ma in the same series. Ah San and Ah Lo didn't stop at Track - he invited her to star with him on his music video for the song I Don't Fit You. This very special and super sweet MV was shared to me by cherrie - one of Steven's biggest fans. Much thanks to her - without whom I couldn't share this music video with you guys today. Thanks a bunch cherrie! :) You're great.

I think Steven & Bondy look sweet together and it makes me want to watch Track to see their acting on-screen as lovers because it looks good from the MV. It also makes me wonder whether or not it was intentional that Bondy was the first person that Steven acted with in his first appearance on VOH II. Hmm... Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this MV! Steven's singing is great as usual and although the size is small, the quality is good and seeing Ah San and Ah Lo together as lovers (even if they've broken up in the MV) is a treat!

It's been two months since the last update... Why? First, my computer had a scare in May. Second, I became so wrapped up with my TVB Musings blog that I didn't have time to update this site. I was always writing articles or something for the blog so that I could update almost daily... Third - The Biter Bitten site. I just had to finish it up because it would drive me nuts if I left it incomplete. Therefore, I spent a good few days capturing over a thousand screenshots and so on... That's pretty much what I've been up to these past two months and that's what has kept me from updating the true VOH Network.

However, everything's ok now! I've found a happy medium and will update the site regularily again. Even if you don't trust me, you have to trust the Kams. ;) If they say everything's okay, it will be! I'm back - don't ever think I'd leave my VOH family. :)

Last time, we saw the break-up of Ah Lam and Ah San. Today, another golden VOH couple is being separated. It's pretty much settled now that Chris and Joey will never be together. :( Frankie Lam's contract with TVB has expired now and he doesn't plan to renew it. Instead, he is going to venture into the mainland market in hopes of more success there. It seems that we'll have to remember Frankie and Bernice Liu as Foo Ma and Princess if we ever want to see them together...

It's also official that Steven Ma will not be filming a period drama with Linda Chung in May. He will be starring in a new modern drama about horse racing with Shirley Yeung, Ron Ng, and Kate Tsui. However, the good news is that faux-big brother Steven has reclaimed his status in TVB thanks to the high-rated & reviewed series Safe Guards and his series Land of Wealth has been chosen as one of 2006's anniversary series! :D

It's been over half-a-month since I've last updated and I'm sorry for this. School has been hectic and lately, I haven't felt very passionate about updating (any of my sites for that matter). Luckily - I feel the thrill in updating again. Just be sure to keep visiting and supporting me, ok? ;)

To make up for my disappearance, I have a bunch of new updates for everyone to check out!

  • Added 5 updates/news on the VOH family
  • Added Bernice's Sincerity MV for download
  • Added screenshots of the Sincerity MV
  • Added episodes 376-378 for download
  • Added VOH III fanfic chapter 136
  • Updated The Biter Bitten site

Be sure to check out Bernice's great first MV! :) Our Princess is trying to break into the music industry, so it's going to be exciting the next few months to see her advance from an actress to a singer! I know a lot of people translate "sat ching" into "truth," but I translated it as "sincerity" because it sounds more elegant and means basically the same as "truth."

Originally, I was going to use this site as my personal blog to express my opinions on non-Virtues stuff, but I figured it wasn't very approriate, so I've decided to open a new site. Be sure to check out my new blog - TVB Musings! I'll have more updates soon.

I have some bad news... :( This wasn't supposed to happen! Ah San and Ah Lam were supposed to be together again! But no... Remember the update that I posted a month ago saying that Steven Ma, Linda Chung, Kevin Cheng, and Bernice Liu were going to film a period drama together in May? Well, as it turns out... Steven has backed out. Instead, he's going to film a modern drama (from Ah Mei's real-life sister Producer Mui Siu Ching) with Sonija Kwok, Ron Ng, and Kate Tsui next month. Therefore, there's no way that he can film the period drama with Linda... This is so sad! That series was going to be perfect with three of the four leads being members of our VOH family and the possibility that a golden couple was going to be together again. But now, no more...

So, Ah San is walking away from Ah Lam. I'm really sad and disappointed by this news! On the bright side, at least we can still see our two beauties together on-screen for the first time! :)
